Kennedy Library plans unveiled in Cambridge with glass pyramid
Caroline Kennedy and Robert Fitzgerald viewed the seven story glass enclosure for the Kennedy Library complex to be built near Harvard. The project includes a two hour experience for 50 cents with audio visual exhibits and a long concrete brick building surrounding archives and the Kennedy School. Groundbreaking set for May 29 1974 as cost concerns and Cambridge opposition prompt study of environmental impact and traffic. Senate member Edward Kennedy signals community cooperation while Gov. Sargent notes building tech safety.
