Elyria’s Downtown Kiwanis marks its 1st birthday on February 10 with a history up to 1954 noting original members 65, charter date March 13, 1919, big parade, Elks banquet, and first president Judge Horace G. Strawberry Ice Cream Social June 21 remains a major fundraiser.
