Mosher district stays same as court blocks six day bills

A Common Pleas Court judge issued a permanent injunction blocking enactment of two partisan bills rushed through the opening week of the Ohio legislature. One would have redrawn Mosher’s 13th District by moving Barberton out and adding rural Oberlin areas. The ruling said the measures were incomplete and ineligible for filing with the secretary of state, and Gov Rhodes and Secretary Brown were enjoined from acting to enact them. Democratic leaders planned an appeal. The other item involved results for Barberton’s alignment with Mosher and the political balance of the district.
