AmeriTrust Corp announces AmeriTrust Co of New York to offer security transfers and related trust services. The New York site, led by Robert E. Krol, will support clients and security holders, reflecting a broader strategy for cross state trust operations and regulatory considerations.

Revco Drug Stores will acquire Carls Drug Co., a 42-store chain in upstate New York and New England, from IC Industries for an undisclosed cash amount. The deal, expected to close by mid July, expands Revco to 1,901 stores in 29 states and marks its entry into the Buffalo Jamestown area. Sidney Dworkin, Revco chairman, calls it a step in rapid expansion and regional growth. IC Industries holdings include Abex Corp and Pepsi-Cola bottlers.
