Escape of 18 insane prisoners ends in manhunt
Sona Michigan June 4 18 escapees from the state hospital for the criminally insane were mostly recaptured as a 24 hour manhunt ended. Three men remained at large believed to have fled in an automobile stolen at Butternut traced later in Ithaca and St John Michigan license number 729-335. Several fugitives were captured including John Milendez Ward Hopkins Fred Pack and Pearl Covington as vigilante patrols and lawmen widened searches amid threats of renewed danger.

Posse Captures Alleged Bank Robbers Near Alba
In Manicona Mich two Elliott brothers Fred and Ieo nard were shot in a cemetery by a posse of 15 men after a long chase and now lie in a Petoskey hospital awaiting arraignment on charges of robbing the Antrim county state bank at Alba. A third brother Sylvester Elliott had been captured earlier near a swamp. A fourth suspect Jim Kelley, ex Kalamazoo policeman, remains at large as the pursuit continues.

Two Bodies Seen In Lake Erie Incident Near Lorain
County Coroner Myles E. Perry and Jorain coast guards search Lake Erie for a double tragedy after two bodies were sighted yesterday. One man, about forty, was recovered from the lake near Colchester lighthouse thirty miles northwest of Lorain. The John Sherwin freighter reported finding another body earlier, leaving the fate of additional passengers unresolved pending a post mortem.

Sister Dolores Dies Lorain Nurse Supt at St Josephs
Sister Mary Dolores, superintendent of nurses at St Joseph's hospital Lorain, died after a three month illness. She came to Lorain in 1927 and studied for a bachelor’s degree in Winona Minnesota before illness. Services will be at St Joseph's hospital chapel Thursday at 6 am and her body will be taken to the mother house near Youngstown. A June 5 card party by St Joseph's junior nurses was postponed due to her death.
