Retired Lorain officer killed in suspected murder suicide
Anthony Coonrod a 63 year old former Lorain County Sheriff's Office corrections sergeant with over 30 years service was shot to death Saturday night at a West 29th Street residence. Police say 31 year old Emily Simmons fired multiple shots then killed herself in a likely domestic incident. Coroner notes both deaths from gunshot wounds and states no relation between the two was determined.
