Man guilty of extortion in missing atheist case

A former convict was found guilty of extortion and related offenses connected to the 1995 disappearance of atheist leader Madalyn Murray O’Hair, her son Jon Murray, and granddaughter Robin Murray O’Hair. He was acquitted of kidnapping. sentencing set for August 4 with a potential life term.

FAA seeks to strip Alaska Airlines of maintenance authority

FAA plans to revoke Alaska Airlines maintenance rights after finding about 150 undocumented maintenance cases. If unaddressed, Alaska could be forced to park planes and cease flying. FAA cites poor management attention though inspections found work was completed. CEO John Kelly said the seven day response would be met and acknowledged improvements.
