Kansas City reports Frank Anderson educational director of the Jones Company found dead from a bullet in his Midwest hotel room. A nurse identified as Marie L Beal lay wounded beside him. A poem and a dagger image on a page of a book suggested a staged scene. The woman said she had been married to Anderson in Illinois two years ago and was questioned by police about their relationship.
Washington June 3 The House Military Affairs committee recommended favorable action on Henry Fords offer to lease the governments nitrate plants and water power projects at Muscle Shoals Alabama The committee will present the plan to the House but excludes the Gorgas steam plant Ford insists the Gorgas plant must be included for any acceptance The statement was made by W B Mayo Ford engineers chief and described as unchanged from the committees position.
