Charges considered for man who kept filthy alpacas
Lorain County deputies and the humane officer will decide if a Huntington Township man will face animal cruelty charges after leaving five alpacas in a cramped feces coated garage pen with no food or water. Two alpacas died in a burn pile as deputies found a large neglected setup at the rented home on Route 162 south of Wellington. The case was sent to Oberlin Municipal Court where nine counts of second degree misdemeanor animal cruelty could be charged.

Bystander Killed in SUV Crash on Interstate 90
A 66-year-old bicyclist Salvatore M. Biondo of Medina died after a red 2000 Dodge Dakota rear ended his Zeppelin Airborne bicycle on West Law Road. The crash, reported by Medina police, left the driver uninjured and under investigation. Biondo was flown to Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.
