Exide Battery Used by Champion Fliers on Transcontinental Flight
The Army monoplane T-2 used by Lieutenants Oakley G. Kelly and John A. Mac ready for a cross country flight was equipped with an Exide battery. Local Exide Battery Service Station notes the plane is a Fokker cabin design, built by the Fokker Co of Amsterdam. The craft carries 735 gallons of gasoline, 35 gallons of oil, and 25 gallons of water, with a gross weight of 10,830 pounds. Buffalo gains a new branch of the Nation Motorists Association.
