Americans reduced spending by 0.2 percent in April as income failed to grow, the Commerce Department said. The dip follows March’s small gain and February’s rise, with lower gas prices and mild weather cited as factors. Inflation-adjusted spending rose 0.1 percent, the smallest since October.
