Clarett Car Theft Case Reported By OSU Officials
Police found a shattered passenger window, missing cash, licenses and clothing from Maurice Clarett’s 2001 Monte Carlo. A TV monitor and stereo gear were stolen, with fingerprints recovered. The car belonged to Car Store Inc. and was later auctioned. OSU said the incident was isolated and closed after fingerprint matches failed. Coach Jim Tressel expressed concern but noted no NCAA link established.
