Credit card fraud tied to Internet service in Lorain

Lorain police investigate a $300 charge for Internet sex services on Regina Weitzel’s Visa card after she subscribed to America Online. Transactions were made by men in New Jersey and New York using false names. Detectives are probing, Lt. Poli says police may have limited reach.

Thieves smash car windows at movies

Deputies report two incidents near cinemas over the weekend. Marc H Blecher of Elyria said his car window was smashed between 9 10 p m Saturday and midnight causing 200 in damage. A Regal Cinemas incident involved a Grafton man whose car window was broken and a purse stolen for several hundreds of dollars.
