Dayton AP report says the Ohio Black Expo aims to spark economic rebirth by building Black businesses and increasing employment. Organizer Rhonda Robinson announced at a Thursday news conference that about 15,000 people and 199 exhibitors are expected for the week-long event in Dayton starting Saturday.
In Cincinnati Michael Bies and Darryl Gumm face aggravated murder charges for the May 11 death during an attempted rape. Bies pleaded innocent and is held on 100000 bond. Gumm is jailed on the same charge with a 100000 bond set. The boy’s body was found the next day in an abandoned building after their arrest in Perry County, Kentucky.
