European Powers Alarmed by Moroccan Air Incident
Paris dispatch reports a violent gale along the Moroccan coast led to downed planes possibly Italian in origin. One aircraft landed on the French Spanish frontier with four machine guns and munitions, three crew killed and one injured. Passports and Italian papers found. Implication tied to Spanish Civil War loyalties and possible arms support by France. Major naval concentrations in Spanish waters and in Apameish roles stirred European powers about Morocco and broader Fascist-Nazi-Left movements.
