Paxton Bigham, now 86 in Chambersburg, recalls guarding Lincoln’s room at Gettysburg on November 17 1863 and says Lincoln copied his speech. Contends an 1888 New York weekly story is false and the supposedly found Lincoln car was destroyed. Hanover residents recall Lincoln’s train passing. rail workers say the car wore out by 1882 and was dismantled years later.
