Somali man recalls famine horrors amid refugee flight
Anmedhashim Mawlid Abdi, a 40 year old father of seven, describes arrest by al Shabab in Almadow, a 17 day trek to Dagahaley refugee camp, and gang violence that robbed food and raped women. He recalls a dying 7 year old son, a near lion attack, and bleak rations in Kenya. He hopes for peace in Somalia and plans return only if safe.
