Warhol Boxes Donated by Warhol to Pasadena Museum
Andy Warhol donated 100 boxes for the 1970 Pasadena Art Museum exhibition held May 12 to June 21. Oberlin produced reserve boxes from that period, not shown publicly and not since exhibited beyond the museum. The AMAM Warhol collection owes part of its origin to Ellen Johnson, Oberlin art historian and Warhol associate in the 1960s.
