The 85 year old East Carlisle School on Grafton Road faces uncertainty as Carlisle Township trustees consider renovation or demolition. Moot order vacated over Lorain County courthouse keys
Elyria Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge vacated his order requiring the county commissioners to turn over second floor courthouse keys. Burge had earlier said the order moot after the Adult Probation Department, under his and other judges, had the locks changed. Both courts and commissioners retain copies and access remains possible. The commissioners had planned to defy the order, arguing the judge overstepped his authority.

Lorain hopes Roverfest paves way for bigger acts
The Lorain Port Authority earned 5200 from Saturdays Roverfest at Black River Landing. Unidentified Driver Hurt In Elyria Route 57 Crash
An unidentified 30 year old man suffered critical injuries in a crash at Route 57 and Midway Boulevard Elyria when his Kia struck a utility pole after failing to negotiate a curve near Lowe's. He was thrown about 15 feet and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
