Hundreds of defectors arrive in South Korea
The second wave in North Korea’s mass defection arrived on a chartered Korean Air flight bringing 227 defectors to Incheon. The two day total nears 460 as Seoul limits onscene coverage while officials describe a system of questioning and two month orientation. Analysts warn of stricter North Korean crackdowns though annual defector numbers have risen from prior years.
