Apartment plans unveiled for Firelands Retirement
Lorain architects presented a seven story Firelands Retirement Centers building at a board meeting in First Congregational Church. About 75 attendees heard plans for 77 rental units offering small studios and large efficiencies to house elderly tenants.

Lorain Firelands Centers Inc plans a $934,000 1025 West Erie Ave retirement building with one and two bedroom units, lounges and social spaces. Executive director Rev Roland Larsen says the satellite project will link residents to shops, theatres and the library while allowing upward construction on land west of the Antlers Hotel.
