Family sues over Fremont man death at Progressive Field chute
The family of Cory Barron filed a wrongful death suit in Cuyahoga County alleging negligence by the Cleveland Indians Gateway Economic Development Corp. and stadium vendors after Barron, intoxicated at a July 18 2014 Jason Aldean concert, fell down a five story trash chute in an upper deck room at Progressive Field and died. The suit seeks more than 25 000 in damages, cites improper security and unsecured chute doors, and notes Barron’s body was found at a landfill four days after his disappearance.
