Boy survives metal rod in skull after UNC surgery
In Chapel Hill UNC Hospitals neurosurgeon Anand Germanwala removed an embedded L shaped rod from 17 month old Jessiah Jackson's head after a chair accident. The Wilmington child was airlifted twice and treated with care while the rod narrowly avoided major arteries.
