Magruder turns to church work after Watergate life
Convicted Watergate figure Jeb Stuart Magruder announces his politics are "the politics of Jesus" and joins First Community Church in Columbus as top assistant to Senior Minister Dr. Barry Johnson. He will supervise staff and direct adult education while preaching his first sermon October 14. The church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ, serves a wealthy Columbus area and runs a preschool day care, a 1600 acre campground, and a home for 400 elderly residents.
