Elevator fire forces evacuation at Carew Tower in Cincinnati
A motor fire in an elevator at Carew Tower, Cincinnati’s 49 story landmark, sent smoke through shafts and stairwells Friday. One security guard suffered an asthmatic reaction and was hospitalized. No other injuries reported. two elevators disabled. occupants returned by afternoon. Building houses offices, shops, and the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel.
