Fugitive broker commits suicide after bank robbery
Thomas W. Collins, 47, a former commodities broker linked to a multi million dollar Ponzi scheme, killed himself after allegedly robbing a bank. He fled Chicago area with over a million dollars as FBI and SEC investigators eyed losses potentially reaching tens of millions. an arrest warrant for mail fraud was issued in 1905.
