Rural water authority faces Columbus trip over county control
Delegation from Lorain County Rural Loran County Water Authority met State Rep. Barbara C. Pringle in Columbus to discuss a bill that could transfer control and budgeting power to Cuyahoga County if passed. The bill, aimed at reducing county government issues there, may be rewritten to limit impact on Lorain. Also announced are Lorain Agricultural Society Fair Board elections August 21 at Wellington fairgrounds for seven three year terms, with petitions due a week prior. A Rochester dumpster program runs August 5 for large household discards, with township rules against garbage and burnables.
