The Elyria Post expanded in 1920 with club rooms on Broad Street, monthly rent set at 32 dollars, and early meetings shared with officers in adjoining rooms. The Auxiliary received a charter in 1921, with prominent support from its members. Elyria Post Leads State Legion Convention Impact
Test No 12 hd to the State American Legion Convention in Elyria, which elevated the Elyria Post. About 6,600 delegates were housed fed and entertained. Eight thousand convention badges were issued. The event ran Monday September 13 through Thursday September 16 with local officials assisting.
