Two Idaho firefighters die battling fast moving wildfire
Two helitack firefighters were dropped into a Salmon-Challis National Forest blaze and overrun by flames near central Idaho. The incident marks the eighth and ninth firefighter deaths nationwide since February. The fire, sparked by lightning, grew from 120 to about 1,000 acres as temperatures rose. Investigations and a stand down delayed containment efforts.
