A westbound driver on I 90 reported a rock thrown from a trestle at about 7 p.m. damaged the windshield. No injuries or witnesses were noted. Police say this incident does not appear linked to recent rock-throwing cases on roads. Camp Perry hosts two day sesquicentennial reenactments and tour offerings. Camp Perry sits on Ohio Route 2, six miles west of Port Clinton.

Widow of crash victim listed in poor condition
Dorothy Knapp 75 of Norwalk area was in poor condition in Providence Hospital after a two truck crash on Route 601 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Her husband Carl Knapp 80 died in the accident involving Ronald Music 22 Cres tline. Music was treated for minor injuries and cited for not wearing a seat belt.

Trial set in mausoleum skulls case in Norwalk
Huron County man Patrick McGrady 20 of Norwich Township faces gross abuse of a corpse and vandalism charges for allegedly breaking into an Olena Road Cemetery mausoleum on June 15 and removing two skulls. A juvenile suspect and two adults have related charges and a pre trial hearing is Aug. 27 ahead of a Sept. 5 trial date.
