Deputy Finegan To Receive Diploma On July 25

Deputy Sherit Lurene Fiteran, brother of Sheri Carl Finegan, will graduate with fellow law enforcement officers from the F L National Police Academy in Washington D C on July 23. Director Hoover announced the event. Navy Secretary Krax will address the class as diplomas are awarded after 14 weeks of intensive training to 37 members chosen from two states, D C, and Canada.

Noted Scientist Of Antioch College Dies In New York

Dr. Ondes Samartaman, 31, director of the Chastes F. Kettering Foundation and head of Antioch College biology, died in Mt Sina Hospital New York after months of illness caused by streptococcic infection. He led chlorophyll and photosynthesis studies and served as college dean in 1929 and 1930. He is survived by Mrs. Inman, college admissions director.
