CAMP PERRY C July 22 A pilot of the 112th observation squadron Ohio National Guard and an observer are recuperating after their plane struck a tree near Oak Harbor. First Lieut Nevin C Bartes of Cleveland suffered a broken jaw and Lieut James N Ottney of Gibsonburg cuts and bruises. The wrecked plane was on the Fred Allen farm a mile and a half east of Oak Harbor when a wing grazed a tree while attempting to rise after missing a high tension wire.

Seven members of a Sheffield Village family escaped serious injury when their sedan collided head on with a truck and trailer on Detroit road.
