Three Arrested for Disorderly Conduct at Riverview Park

Three young men named Steve Fillmore Bodie Nagy and Walter Somerville were arrested at Riverview park for disorderly conduct after a fight. They appeared in police court this morning and were fined five dollars plus costs each. Howard Sias was found unconscious by a passerby after an epilepsy attack and was admitted to hospital.

Mother watches five children perish in Greenville blaze

Five children of Fred Hedlin, ages 9, 8, 6, 3, and nine months, died in a house fire at North Sandy near Greenville while the mother, home from work in the garden, could not save them. Two other children escaped by leaping from a second story window as the father was away.
