Mann returns to LPGA tour after seven years at U S Open
Baltimore AP Mann, 47, returns to competitive golf after a seven year self imposed break. She will tee off in the opening round of the 43rd U S Women's Open at Baltimore Country Club. Mann left the tour in 1981 after losing her love for golf and has since worked in corporate hospitality and led the Women's Sports Foundation. She earned the 1965 U S Women's Open title and was among the top players 1965 69. She now trains intensely, seeks no baggage, and treats the Open as a fresh start with no firm plans beyond the event.
