Shooters deputy in Cleveland fatally shoots unarmed shoplifter
In Cleveland a volunteer deputy sheriff shot a shoplifting suspect who turned out unarmed. The officer feared a concealed weapon as the suspect allegedly reached toward a midsection bulge containing cologne worth under 850 dollars. Jacobs died from blood loss after a hip wound. The officer, a 16 year veteran, was placed on leave as police investigate.
