Twinkies return with smaller size and longer shelf life
The revived Twinkies show 77 gram two cake packs at 270 calories or 38.5 gram single cakes at 135 calories. The change traces to mid 2012 under the predecessor company before bankruptcy and a 45 day shelf life noted by Hostess. New owners Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co. keep price at 3.99 per box.

Wal-Mart min wage clash sparks city wage policy debate
Washington DC faces a dispute as Wal-Mart fights a living wage bill targeting large retailers. The measure applies to stores over 75 000 square feet with revenues over 1 billion dollars and would require 12 50 per hour, provoking union support and business concerns about job losses and store plans.
