Appliances Change Life In Thailand in Bangkok

New York report notes American made electric appliances are transforming Thai household chores. Siamese women formerly labored over charcoal stoves now cook with automatic ovens, fryers, and waffle irons as they gain time for ironing and cleaning. Mrs Prayadd Ansusiha, tied to a leading Thailand dealer, describes four radios and a refrigerator among her gadgets, with more on the way as power grows. She notes Thai cooks enjoy American recipe books and adapt cakes, cookies, and roasts to electric devices. The seller recalls introducing the first electric refrigerator in Bangkok 23 years ago, with annual demand now about 5,000 fridges and 10,000 fans.
