Mittie Megan of Stopf Lake Avenue sustained injuries when her husband Jenn backed a car from a stable out onto Buck Street at 1 p.m. The car swerved and struck her front bumper area. She was ambulanced to Elyria Memorial Hospital.
Lorain County Junior Fair Board plans a Wellington Grange Mall meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to set judging schedules and announce judges for the fair. They will also seek estimates of entries from Future Panthers of America while discussing other pirate party matters. A dog bite incident was reported involving Murrell Lewis, bitten on the leg by a Hodaway dog at 126 Brandston Avenue.

August Nelson of 310 Furhance Street was arrested at 2:57 p m on a charge of driving while under the influence after a collision on East Byidan Street with a parked car owned by Moyrtl Scott of 233 Gates Avenue. Nelson did not stop and was arrested on Broad Street near East Avenue a few minutes later. case continued to July 18 for trial.

Lions Club members and guests enjoyed an illustrated talk on the Canadian Rockies by Karl Townsend of First Wellington Bank. Max Pedley arranged the event as Knight received a perfect attendance button. Richard Teasdale became club treasurer, with John Moelsler assisting. Guests included Townsend and Marvin Berson, plus numerous Lions and wives attending the International convention in Philadelphia.
