Opinions differ on value of park road property
County commissioners and property owners grappled yesterday over valuations for land needed for the Cooper-Foster Park Road extension. About 10 claims were presented as appraisals by state and county assessors placed a value near $25,000, but officials hinted the figures are too high and pressed for settlements favorable to the county. If settlements fail, probate court may be asked to appoint a jury to set valuations.
