David Heggie a longtime National Tube Company Lorain employee died suddenly Sunday at his home 1976 East List Street Lorain following an acute heart attack. Born December 21 1859 in Strathmigle Scotland he retired as chief master mechanic at National Tire Company in 1931. Survived by two sisters in Scotland a son Alex Heggie of Lakewood a daughter Margaret Heggie Tyler and two grandchildren Barbara and Bartlett Tyler. Funeral services will be held from his residence 1976 East List Street on Tuesday evening with private services Friday.

Youth Fatally Injured While Swimming in Vermilion River
Leroy Whitney, 24, of Wellington, died in Norwalk Hospital from a diving accident on the Vermilion River at Wakeman yesterday afternoon. He suffered a scalp wound and a broken neck after hitting a submerged tree root. Rescued by Wellington divers, he remained conscious briefly and gave his account before dying about 10:30 p.m. Whitney was assistant manager of the Fisher Brothers store in Wellington. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Sophia Whitney and a brother Theodore. funeral arrangements were incomplete.
