Golf Pro Hersh Shannon Dies After Illness
Hersh Shannon a longtime golf professional at Oberlin and former head pro at Columbia and Spring Valley Hills clubs died early yesterday after a lingering illness. He was 54 and had worked as equipment manager at Oberlin College gym during winters. Survivors include his wife Charlotte Kershaw a son Neal and several siblings. Funeral arrangements are pending.
