Ohio farmers offered 19 cent wheat profit via CCC loans
Ohio farmers who take CCC loans or buy purchase agreements on wheat this year could gain about 19 cents per bushel versus cash-market harvest prices. L. E. Folsom of Ohio State University notes a national average loan value around 217 dollars per acre, with Ohio values likely higher. Loans provide harvest- time cash or hedge against market risk through purchase agreements. Farmers are urged to contact their local Production and Marketing Administration office for details.
