Auto Bandits Nabbed After Night Of Robberies Across Cities
Elyria police aided by Cleveland authorities halted eight young men dubbed auto bandits wanted on auto theft criminal assault and later highway robbery charges. They stole a car from Dr. R C Droege Lakewood and robbed a couple, then attacked women before fleeing toward Lorain. After a restaurant escape in Lorain they were chased, cars blocked roads, and officers recovered a Todisi watch ring and scissors. a $20 bill remained missing. Recapture Two in Pen Escape at Missouri Prison
