May Now Plant On Acres Under Contract
Farmers may now plant corn or grain sorghums on acres under contract in the Agricultural Adjustment Administration crop reduction program. The ruling allows forage planting only on contracted land to relieve drought shortages, without relaxing contract provisions. About 500000 acres in some areas may be released. recent rulings also permit other forage crops like soybeans and Sudan grass. Corn on contracted acres must be harvested before cars start to form.
