Lorain County Animal Protective League will euthanize pit bulls at its Elyria shelter. A spokesman cited danger to other animals and to people including children. The policy followed a unanimous vote after a pit bull escaped, attacked and killed a puppy at the shelter.
In Lorain Ohio a 3.15 million suit filed June by Rusty Tucker against his parents James and Phyllis Tucker over a 1985 fire that killed his two children and injured his wife. Testimony ended and jurors planned to begin deliberations with conflicting expert opinions on the fire’s cause.

Big Sandy Texas AP report says murder suspect and rapist known as Animal was captured after a two day manhunt. Hostage Rosal ie Williams 24 escaped and neighbors planned a parade in her honor in Gilmer Upshur County.
Geraldine England of Claypool, Arizona, grandmother of Jennifer Louise Hudson, plans to travel to Clayton County, Georgia, to gain custody after her son-in-law Robert Louis Hudson allegedly tried to trade the 7 month old for a sports car and was jailed on a deprivation charge. The baby's mother Jennifer Hudson died Dec 27 1985 in Houston.
A 4.2 magnitude quake centered near St Marys, 20 miles southwest of Lima, rattled Ohio and four other states early this morning. It cracked walls at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St Marys, damaged plaster, and knocked out power to about 0. About 200 locals reported damage or inquiries, but no injuries were reported.
