Cairo July 12 An assassination attempt targeted Premier Zaghloul Pasha of Egypt as he prepared to depart for Alexandria. A shooter fired on the crowded platform, injuring him slightly. The premier was rushed home and rested easily. Zaghloul, a nationalist leader exiled by Britain, had returned to power after a general election.
