Nordson to move packaging unit HQ to Atlanta suburb
Nordson Corp will relocate the Packaging Equipment Division headquarters to Gwinnett County Georgia to support growth of a second division and corporate offices. About 70 Amherst employees may relocate. manufacturing remains at Amherst Jackson Street plant. New facility will be built in an Atlanta area industrial park with first moves this autumn and completion by August 1979. The move frees Amherst space for corporate offices and the Finishing Equipment Division.

Gas blast at Tarragona camp kills 150, injures 100
A truck loaded with butane gas exploded at a camp site near San Carlos de la Rapida in Tarragona Province. Europa Press and other reports say about 500 campers were present. The explosion happened early this afternoon, injuring tourists and residents.

Ridgeville considers new bond for high school expansion
The Ridgeville school board approved seeking state approval to expand bonding capacity from 6 million to about 14 to 16 million to finance a proposed 13 million high school. If approved a November bond issue and millage size will be set. 9 mill levy previously failed. The district plans a 2 000 to 2 500 student facility amid overcrowding and split sessions next year.
