Three Chatham Men Killed By Electrocution
Three Chatham men were fatally electrocuted while rigging a oil well behind the Congregational Christian church. Emmett Siward Rob Hall and Wayne Kirkbride, all Dymo Oil Co. riggers, died when a metal guy line touched a high voltage line. Local firemen aided by others attempted artificial respiration. all three were pronounced dead after more than half an hour. Siward and Hall were World War II veterans with families and survivors listed. Kirkbride survived by a wife and four children. Burial plans and services followed in Lodi and Chatham.
