Elyria police said Saint-Velle Pruitt 18 East Cleveland turned himself in to clear his name after a fatal shooting on East Avenue that killed Willie Fisher 47. Detectives allege Patrick Gall 18 used Pruitt’s identity during encounters and triggered a warrant for Pruitt’s arrest.

Demolition Begins at Ely Stadium Grandstand
Crews start tearing down the Ely Stadium grandstand at Elyria Schools with demolition beginning around 9 to 10 a.m. Weather permitting. Bricks will be set aside for fans outside the safety fencing during the razing process. The stand was built in 1927 and stood 91 years.
