Blood test may flag early multiple sclerosis risk
Austrian researchers report a blood test that detects two antibodies linked to a much higher chance of developing MS after initial neurological symptoms. In 1035 patients studied, those with both anti MOG and anti MBP antibodies were 76 times likelier to later show MS than those with neither. The test aims to guide early treatment decisions and complements MRI scans, which have variable predictive value.
